New features of Mountain Lion

The new upgrade is available for Mac computers. This is most probably the most important upgrade at least apple is claiming to be the most successful OS yet. But the question is do you really need to upgrade? Let’s see. The number of updates in mountain lion over last year’s lion update is huge, around 200. Some of the major are dedicated sharing button and airplay mirroring etc. As for Mac OS X technical support it made the operating system new and different.
On the first look it doesn’t seem that anything has really changed. It looks exactly same as the previous one, so it’s really surprising to know that it contain more than two hundred updates. The one which mostly talked about is airplay. It is already pretty successful on IPad and it was about time to include it in OS X. Those of you who don’t what it is, it is the software part of Apple TV. It streams the computer content (movies and games) through Apple TV to your television. All you need to do is to connect all parts to a single wireless network and enjoy. But this facility is not for those who use older ones, which mean you will face problem with the old version of Mac-books.
Another new and interesting feature is share button. Each and every application now has a dedicated share button. If you are not a very sharing person you would find that a little annoying. But Apple’s intention is not really same. They want you to share everything in social network sites. In a word they want you to be online every time. But if you are into social networking you will find it a great think to have.
One of the coolest things is to include dictation in Mac OS X. IPhone and IPad users are already using this feature for a long time and it kind a shame that Mac OS X didn’t have that. Now in mountain lion it is included and almost all Mac-book users can have this facility. For those who are oblivious, it is the best application which allows you to dictate to your computer with a microphone and it will convert you speech into a document, so no need to appoint anyone to do that. It will save so much of your time and you money. But it is preferred not to use it for a lengthy document.
Here is a small list of the new ones.
Time Machine (you need to buy an additional hard drive for this)
Photo Booth (everyone who used IOS 5 on their IPad is familiar with this)
Face Time (for video calls)
AirDrop
Boot Camp
Microsoft Exchange Support (requires Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 service pack 1)
AirPlay Mirroring (newer models are good with this)
Power Nap
Gestures and VoiceOver Gestures
Dictation and most importantly
Mac App Store
So bad that Siri is not included.
So, go ahead, upgrade your OS and enjoy the new feature. If you don’t have a Mac then gets one. It’s now with Retina Display. If you are facing problem with installation, contact with Mac support specialist. They would do the work for you. After all it’s cheaper than you thought.
